SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - Closets Conference & Expo, co-located with Wood Pro Expo Illinois, will take place April 17 to 19 at the Schaumburg Convention Center in Schaumburg, Illinois. This event for all closet design and manufacturing companies will allow attendees to learn, network, and explore the latest design trends and technological advances.

One of the educational sessions, titled "AI’s Role in the Future of Design," will offer closet design professionals insights into AI development, its current impact on the industry, and ways to implement the technology to improve their business.

The session will cover the latest AI-powered tools and technologies transforming the interior design industry, which can help enhance the design process, increase efficiency, and deliver results for clients. Jenna Gaidusek, an Interior Designer/eDesign Educator from Jenna Gaidusek Designs, will answer live questions and discuss several key topics, including what AI is, the core AI programs available today, and how AI is used in the interior design industry, and how closet designers can utilize the available tools. She will also provide examples of how AI is being used and discuss what the future holds.

The Closets Track, co-sponsored by ACSP and Hettich America L.P., runs concurrent with Wood Pro Track, sponsored by the CMA. In addition to this session, the Closets Track includes:

  • Opening Keynote: The Psychology of Business – The Edge of Successful Business Owners, presented by Daniel Eisenbarth, results coach and business results trainer, Robbins Research International
  • How to Launch a Design Studio Through Collaboration

    From developing business plans and leveraging industry partnerships to creating compelling content on social media, participants will learn strategies that everyone can replicate, whether with a large or small company, to help their businesses grow.

  • Emerging Trends: Accessories and Decorative Hardware

    This session will explore the latest trends in accessory and hardware product design and examine the market outlook for new product concepts and finishes. You'll hear from experts in the field who will share their insights and experiences.

The classroom portion of the conference will be followed by a tour of the showroom of Perfection Closets and Inspired Closets Chicago, sponsored by Hafele America. The full day of education concludes with a reception sponsored by the Association of Closet and Storage Professionals, Elektra and Richelieu.

CCE and WPE each kick off with a separate full-day conference on April 17, co-sponsored by the Association of Closet and Storage Professionals and Cabinet Makers Association, respectively. The two-day co-located expo, April 18-19, features woodworking machinery, supplies, and components. Additional educational programming is offered on each day of the expo.
