ACSP members, are you on track?
By Christina Relyea

Change is inevitable.
Growth is optional.

We’re more than halfway through 2023. What goals did you set for yourself (or your business) this year? How is your progress? Better question, did you set any goals? Taking the time at the end of the previous year to look forward is, in my opinion, non-negotiable. How will you measure your success or failure if no baseline level is established?

ACSP has the following goals set forth coming into 2023:
1.    Increase membership by 60%.
2.    Look into creating regional events for our members.
3.    Retool the certification process (testing and challenges).
4.    Rebrand and freshen our logo and website.
5.    Debut a platform specific to our membership.

Regarding increasing membership, I’m happy to report that we are halfway to our goal. The Closets Conference & Expo in West Palm Beach, Florida, brought a record number of new members, both on the supply side and actual members. Welcome to all who signed up!

Regional events were on our radar; however, when we polled the membership, many members would rather see a supplementary education day at one of the industry events than a separate occasion. Reasons included taking more time away from their business and the cost associated. Thank you for your feedback!

We are proud to report that the Designer Testing & Challenge revamp has been completed for the registered designer level, and we are now working on the certified designer level testing. Many thanks to the amazing Melissa Jane Veinotte and the Education Committee – the new testing is more relevant but also polished and professional.

Rebranding – we have contracted a graphic designer and anticipate a new look for your industry association this fall.
We’re live on our new platform CIRCLE! If you’re not a member, what are you waiting for? Don’t miss out on all the tips, networking, webinars, and other goodies there.

If you want to work on your business, attend the Closets Symposium at AWFS Fair in Las Vegas on July 24 and plan to visit Colorado for the Executive Briefing Conference on September 26-28. After all, is growth optional?
