Timberlab acquires American Laminators accelerating mass timber construction

PORTLAND, Ore. —Timberlab Holdings Inc., owner of Timberlab Inc., a national provider of mass timber systems, and Diversified Wood Resources, LLC, doing business as American Laminators, an Oregon-based glue-laminated timber (glulam) manufacturer, have entered into an agreement for Timberlab to acquire the assets of American Laminators and will continue operating their two Oregon-based facilities in Drain and Swisshome beginning June 10, 2024.

First mass-timber office building in Houston-area

Groundbreaking on a new mass timber building that will become the first such building in the Houston area. The project, christened One Bridgeland Green, will be located within the 70-acre Village Green at Bridgeland Central, a master-planned community's urban district. The office building will be completed in the summer of 2025

Georgia’s first Georgia-grown mass timber building utilizing a regional supply chain has been completed. Jamestown, the design-focused real estate investment and management firm behind Atlanta’s Ponce City Market, celebrated the completion of 619 Ponce. The building features biophilic design and exposed southern yellow pine timber beams.

Masonite sells architectural business segment

TAMPA, Fla. — Masonite International Corp. announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement for the sale of all assets associated with the company’s Architectural segment to subsidiaries of IBP Solutions, Inc., a newly formed portfolio company of Industrial Opportunity Partners.The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2024 and is subject to customary closing conditions.Houlihan Lokey, Inc. acted as Masonite’s financial advisor on the transaction.
