HICKORY, NC- Baker Furniture announced plans to close its two manufacturing facilities in Mocksville, NC, and move its operations to an existing Baker plant in Hildebran.
According to the Davie County Enterprise Record, employees of the Mocksville upholstery and wood manufacturing facilities will be offered jobs in Hildebran, about 53 miles from Mocksville.
Baker said it will seek to sell the 166,000-square-foot upholstery plant and 176,000-square-foot wood manufacturing plant in Mocksville.
