Canadian Textile Mill Buys Quaker Fabric

SAINT-GEORGES, QUE – Victor Innovatex Inc., a Canadian-based textile company that provides fabric to the contract furniture industry, has formed a joint venture with Gordon Brothers Group, a Boston investment firm, to acquire the majority of the assets of Quaker Fabric Inc. of Fall River, MA. The acquisition includes owned real estate, machinery and equipment, inventory, and Quaker Fabric’s intellectual property, trademarks and design archive. Victor Innovatex expects to commence operations in MA in the fourth quarter of 2007, and intends to hire new management, textile designers and mill workers to support manufacturing operations.
