NSF Intl
announced that
Herman Miller Inc.
has earned level certification to a new sustainability-focused standard for commercial furniture. Level certification was developed in cooperation with the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Assn. (BIFMA) and focuses on materials, energy and atmospheres, human and ecosystem health and social responsibility. By obtaining NSF certification, Herman Miller Products will be authorized to use the level certification mark. Products can be certified to the BIFMA e3 standard to three designations: level 1, 2 or 3.
