RadTech Elects New President, Board Members

BETHESDA, MD – RadTech, the association for ultraviolet (UV) and electron beam (EB) technology, welcomes a new president and board members.

Mike Idacavage, of Cytec, assumes the presidency for a two-year term. In taking office, Idacavage said, “The Obama administration’s emphasis on energy, infrastructure, the environment, and economic concerns are also key areas for UV and EB Technologies.  The clear technical and cost advantages of this technology will offer important assistance to manufacturing as the economy recovers.  I am excited to lead RadTech to help ensure business leaders and policy makers understand the enormous sustainable, economic and competitive benefits that UV and EB can provide.”
 
The board members include: Molly Hladik, Hewlett Packard; Pete Weissman, Quaker Chemical; James Goodrich, Sartomer; Corey Bliss, U.S. Air Force; Kevin Joesel, Fusion UV;  Mike Kelly, Allied Photochemical; Lou Palermo, Lamberti; Anthony Toussaint, DSM; Don Smith, Alcoa; Jon Graunke, INX Intl.;  Maureen Waite, Cytec; and Brian Cavitt, Abilene Christian University. Additionally, Howard Ragin of Craig Adhesives and Coatings was nominated President-elect and will assume office in 2011. Mike Dvorchak of Bayer MaterialScience was elected secretary. Petra L’Abbe of PPG remains on the board as immediate past president.
