High Point, NC — As reported by Furniture Today, residential casegoods importer Thomas Hahn & Home has formed a new division called The Closet Co. to design and distribute closet systems. It was formed in July and is headed by Rich McCloskey, who joined the company in May.

According to FT, the new line has 27 SKUs and includes furniture-type features, such as self-closing drawers with dovetail construction and raised, framed panels. There are two designs: Davidson is a traditional style; Shaker is more transitional. Both are made with birch solids and maple veneers and come in two finishes, FT says. They will be displayed at the October High Point Furniture Market.

“Closets represent a lot of opportunities for furniture stores,” company chairman Ron Hahn is reported as saying.
