MONROE, WA — Spencer LLC, a manufacturer of kitchen cabinets, was recently named the runner-up in the “Manufacturing” category of the 2009 Green Washington Awards, the only cabinet manufacturer to be honored.
According to the October 2009 issue of Seattle Business Magazine, Spencer LLC is one of the 20 Washington State “leaders in sustainability . . . businesses that are changing to save the environment.”
“We are greatly honored to be recognized as a green company, but in truth, our zeal for waste reduction has its roots in the Toyota Production System and the underlying drive for continuous improvement,” said Carl Spencer, general manager of Spencer LLC. “The significant green advantages are essentially a side effect.”
