TORRANCE, Calif. — Submissions are open for Doug Mockett & Company’s 38th Annual Design Competition. The company announced that it is seeking the best innovative ideas in furniture parts, components, accessories and hardware. 

The deadline for submissions is September 5. Winners will be announced no later than December 31 and awarded $3,000, an engraved achievement trophy and royalties. 

Competitors can submit their designs by completing an entry form and including a write-up, drawing or model. Models and materials can be sent via FedEx or regular mail. There is a limit of five entries per person.
