Lumber exporter invests $1.1 million in new Virginia facility

SUFFOLK, Va. - Lumber exporter Kristi Corporation announced it will invest $1.1 million to set up a log load and fumigation plant in Suffolk, Virginia.

Kristi, which also exports material for the aluminum and steel industries, will source all of the facility's lumber from Virginia loggers.

The plant will create 10 jobs.

Kristi works with both softwood and hardwood, exporting southern yellow pine, eastern white pine, red oak, white oak, walnut, cherry, and maple.
