Masonite permanently layoffs workers in Indiana

Florida-based Masonite International Corp. is reducing its staff in St. Joseph County, Indiana. The company, which manufactures doors for residential and commercial applications, said in a notice to the state it will lay off more than 30% of the workforce at its facility in the town of Walkerton.

Residential doors drive Masonite sales up 6 percent, to $518 million

TAMPA, Fla. -Masonite International (NYSE: DOOR) reported strong results third quarter, with net sales up 6 percent to $518 million, a $28 million increase over the year prior. Volume was up 3 percent and unit prices rose 2 percent.
 
Masonite, which began trading last year on the New York Stock Exchange, says it sold 35 million doors in 2016, yielding $2 billion in revenue.

Masonite, Door Sales Up 5.4%, Is Flat On Exchange Rate

Door manufacturer Masonite International (NYSE: DOOR) sales were flat at $475.7 million for the third quarter of 2015, a result of an unfavorable exchange rate. Excluding the $26 million negative impact of foreign exchange, net sales would have increased by 5.4% to $501.7 million. Masonite reported a loss of $16.3 million after selling a French subsidiary.
