Staircon software offers three design views: plan, side and 3D modeling.

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario - Staircon will demonstrate its software for designing and manufacturing custom staircases at booth #1739 of the Woodworking Machinery & Supply Conference & Expo, Oct. 31-Nov. 2 at the International Centre.

Staircon, initially developed in 1999 by Elecosoft of Sweden, allows the user to view his staircase design in three views:

  • Plan view for designing the shape of the stair, floor opening and walls;
  • Side view for editing the side shape of strings and balustrade; and
  • 3D modeling view to show customers what the end result will be in detail and to make any necessary edits, including showing alternative materials and finish.

Staircon can automatically generate the production data in DXF with layers to process in a CAM system and generate the NC codes for programming 3, 4 and 5 axes cnc machines. In addition, Staircon generates bill of material, print production drawings and pricing.
