RAMPA Tec to unveil new threaded inserts at WMS 2022
RAMPA wood construction inserts

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario – RAMPA Tec will showcase its line of threaded inserts for fast assembly of wood products at the 2022 Woodworking Machinery & Supply Conference & Expo, Feb. 24-26 at the International Centre.

For fabricators of panel products, RAMPA offers the new Type E insert which the company says “fills a large market gap” because it can be used effectively with compact HPL panels with a minimum thickness of 6mm. The Type E eliminates the need for adhesives while providing a stable and permanent detachable connection for RTA products. The Type E insert has an outside diameter of 9mm and a length of 4.8mm. Though small in size, the new product has a load capacity of approximately 200kg and can be used in tight installation spaces and small edge distances in both interior and exterior applications.

The company also plans to introduce new sizes of its Type SKD330 insert, which RAMPA says “has quickly become an overwhelming favourite with the live-edge and hardwood community as it eliminates installation tilting with its three external heads.” Easy and fast installation along with increased holding power are hallmarks of the SKD330, the company says.
