Router a curved board from the edge.
Maybe you can help me with a wood router question. I am making a small sofa table and it has legs with wood supports. Using a 1/4 round over router bit on a 3/4" thick, 3" board .... When you router it from the flat side (3") - you get a 'step down then round over shape. When you router it from the edge (3/4") - you get a step down and round over shape (from the edge side) and if you do it from both edges you get a raised flat ridge. I like that look. That said - my question - I can produce that edge look on straight boards but not on 'curved boards' since the router plate is flat and won't take the curve. Any suggestions?
