'March Madness' tips off on Michigan hardwood flooring

Connor Sports Mill in Amasa, Michigan, has made new custom basketball courts for the Men’s Final Four to be played April 1st and April 3rd at the NRG Stadium in Houston, and for the Women's Final Four on March 31st and April 2nd at the American Airlines Arena in Dallas.

In addition to the Men’s and Women’s Final Four games, Connor Sports provides courts for the Men’s and Women’s Regional March Madness games, and the first and second rounds of the men’s tournament played annually.

The 2023 Men’s Final Four court is made from sustainably-harvested Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC)-certified [FSC-C007438] first-grade northern hard maple. The courts were manufactured and inspected at the Connor® Sports mill in Amasa, Michigan.

The floor panels were stacked, banded, and shipped to Connor Sports valued finishing partners for assembly, sanding, sealing, painting, and finishing before being loaded and safely shipped to each venue for installation. For a video showing the installation process, click here.

Each court takes approximately four hours to install led by a team of Connor Sports technical supervisors paired with local laborers from their respective cities.

Connor Sports is proud to be the Official Court of the Men's and Women's NCAA March Madness since 2006 and the Annual Championship Court of 14 NCAA DI Basketball Conference Tournaments and counting, including the ACC, Big East, Big Ten, Big 12, & PAC-12.

The 2023 NCAA Tournament men’s regional games will take place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Madison Square Garden in New York City, KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, & T-Mobile Center in Kansas City.
