Closets designers have been selling to Baby Boomers for generations. Perhaps all 74.9 million of them. But there’s a bigger powerhouse that deserves your attention - Millennials.
Millennials number 75.4 million and have much different lifestyles and buying styles. As Boomers retire, the Millennials will begin to outstrip their buying power. You can get a share of their expenditures - if you can learn their preferences, and what drives their buying decisions.
At the Cabinets & Closets Conference, April 11 in near Chicago, I'll be presneting a session that compares and contrasts thesesegments, covering hot buttons, warm leads, and cold calling (which, as we'll learn, doesn’t really exist in this segment).
You’ll learn how to target your messaging, focus on your online efforts and improve your showroom to attract this powerful group and convert them to customers. I look forward to seeing you there!
About Cabinets & Closets 2017 - Denise Butchko's presentation is part of the three-track Cabinets & Closets conference on April 11, followed April 12-13 by a two-day expo. “Taking Business to the Next Level” is the overall theme for the conference, which begins with a keynote address by Chris Stevens, “Small Business Numbers that Matter.” Stevens will share strategies drawn from his years in business development, including a pivotal role in the launch of the Keurig Coffee Maker. A highly motivational speaker, Stevens is an adjunct professor at the University of Notre Dame Mendoza School of Business.
The conference then splits into three tracks:
• Closets Track: Growing a Profitable Business
• Cabinets Track: Power Up Your Business
• Lean Management: Center for Lean Learning
Attendees are free to mix and match sessions from different tracks. They will gather mid-day for a peer-to-peer lunch, then board buses at 3:30 p.m. for a short ride to a plant tour of Inter Ocean Cabinet Company, sponsored by Stiles Machinery, followed by a networking reception. The Expo April 12-13 is expected to be the largest ever staged for closets and cabinet markets, with 100 exhibitors expected, showing design and manufacturing technology for cabinetry, closets and home organization systems, along with panel, functional and decorative hardware, and business management applications.
