Big things happened at Closets & Organized Storage in the first quarter

In the first quarter of this year Closets & Organized Storage magazine accomplished quite a few things:

• The magazine increased its frequency from 4x to 6x per year.
• We launched a redesigned website at closets-storage.com.
• We redesigned the weekly newsletter which is sent every Thursday morning.
• The Cabinets & Closets Conference & Expo exceeded previous attendee and exhibitor numbers. Comments from attendees have been very positive, except they wish the show was bigger (hint, hint). And all of you that attended the Top Shelf Design Awards reception know the night was super fun and a big success.

So how do we top this year? Well, everyone knows everything is bigger in Texas. And what’s even bigger, the AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys! In 2020, the Cabinets & Closets Conference & Expo will be held at the Arlington Convention Center on March 11-13. And, to ensure the Top Shelf Awards reception is even better than this year, we will hold the gala reception in the Draft Kings Lounge right at the 50-yard line of AT&T Stadium. Plans are already underway, so designers start thinking about your next creation and shop the great products advertised in this issue for fabulous upgrades.

In July, Closets & Organized Storage will produce its full-day symposium at the AWFS Fair in Las Vegas. The event will include speakers discussing great design, pricing, closing the sale, hardware, materials, and trends. Also, I will be revealing the results from the annual State of the Industry study that was presented in Charlotte by my colleague Harry Urban. The symposium will be held on July 16 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the day before the show opens. The symposium will be followed by our annual Leadership Reception, which also celebrates the Wood Industry 40 Under 40.

Symposium registration includes a full plated lunch, expo hall passes, and the Leadership Reception. No gambling on this trifecta, it’s a sure win!

At Woodworking Network, we continue to invest in this market niche which keeps surprising us with its diversity, creativity, and enthusiasm for the products and people involved.
