Black Girls Who Organize holds annual retreat

BGWO held its first Relax, Relate and Reset (R3) Retreat in Washington, DC, in September 2022.

NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. - Black Girls Who Organize (BGWO) is holding its second annual Relax, Relate, Reset (R3) Retreat in National Harbor, Maryland, Oct. 12-14. 

The event, sponsored by a variety of partners, including Presenting Partner Modular Closets and Partners: Neat Method, California Closets, and the National Association of Black Professional Organizers (NABPO), features a series of workshops, discussions, and activities designed to foster personal growth, leadership development, and community building. 

Association of Closet and Storage Professionals (ACSP) board member Allanna Bell, owner of Optimization Dolls, is one of the scheduled speakers with a breakout session on custom closets and a panel discussion on expert organization. Bell was a previous speaker at the 2023 Closets Conference & Expo and the 2023 AWFS Closets Symposium.

BGWO was founded in 2020 by Dalys Macon, a professional home organizer and wardrobe stylist, and the first R3 Retreat took place in Washington, DC in 2022.
