After months of working with Woodworking Network - the Cabinets & Closets Conference & Expo is right around the corner. This year we have hand-picked speakers and topics that will make you a more successful business owner. We also hired business and marketing leaders from outside our industry to give you a fresh perspective on running and marketing your business.

Day One - April 11 -  is loaded with hot topics. The conference kicks off with Chris Stevens from Notre Dame School of Business discussing Small Business Numbers that Matter.

Other sessions include:

LEARN MORE & REGISTER

   • How to Run a Business – Bob Lewis
   • Best Hiring Practices – Jessica Trippler & Steve Gaudrea
   • Lead Generation Myths that Cost Closet Companies Money – Todd Bairstow
   • Millennials vs. Boomers: Marketing Closets – Denise Butchko
   • How to Photograph Your Closet Projects – Paul Donohoe

Then it’s off to a shop tour of  Inter Ocean Cabinet Co., sponsored by Stiles Machinery.

If the conference ended there it would be worth your trip to Chicago – but it doesn't’t.

Day Two- April 12 - starts with Osborne Wood Products hosting its annual Ideation Breakfast. Every year I have learned something new.

After you eat and have your caffeine fix, it’s time for our second keynote, “Loaded Words: SEO Tricks in the Hunt for Cabinet Buyers”  by Lauren Mobyed, Google Inc. and Todd Bairstow, Keyword Connects. Learn the secrets behind search engines. Then the Expo show floor opens, with 100 exhibitors, and lots of new supplies and systems for your business.

The day wraps up with the annual Top Shelf Awards Gala Reception, sponsored by Richelieu, but this year Closest & Organized Storage magazine has amped up the energy of the event, to give the winners maximum exposure with the Top Shelf Closet Design Award Overall Winner receiving a $500 gift card and much more. Furnituremaker Brian Ellison, BKE Designs, a former contestant on Spike TV's "Framework" will be the host for the evening.

All of this educational and inspirational content, with two days to walk the expo floor - April 12-13 - I guarantee that you will leave with a bunch of new ideas that you can use in your business.

Don’t miss this show – it’s the only one made specifically for our industry.

I look forward to seeing you April 11-13.
