Education is a top priority for the closets industry
So far 2017 has been a great year for closet and garage professionals. At the AWFS in Las Vegas this past July, Closets & Organized Storage had the opportunity to produce the first full day Home Organization Symposium at the show.

Fifty-plus storage and organization professionals crowded the oversold symposium. The atmosphere was rich with optimism and engagement in the subject matter presented. Each presentation was followed by a lengthy Q & A session that spilled out into breaks and lunch.

For the content presenters and producers, it was gratifying to know that the subjects were spot on from Business, Design, Trends, and management topics. It also told us that there is a hunger for education and Closets & Organized Storage along with its partners will continue to address this need.

In this issue, Denise Butchko will discuss Design Education and the available resources. There is a lack of resources beyond the ACSP Certification courses and her online courses.

As we move forward with developing our curriculum for the magazine and live events “Education” is at the forefront. The Cabinets and Closets Conference in Pasadena next year will focus on design education, trends, consumer habits and desires and a bevy of useful information.

We will also continue developing research to fill the information gap of demographics, trends, independents vs. franchises among the professional organization and storage providers.

So, jump on board the Closets and Organized Storage Train as it continues to provide timely and relevant information to help you in your businesses.
