Bestowed to the best overall kitchen project, the National Kitchen Award is the ultimate honor in lifestyle, creativity and use of space.

Ebony and Ivory: Designed by Andi Stephens and Becky Charton, this kitchen, wet bar and catering kitchen all work together in harmony for one massive showplace, to which it was bestowed with the National Kitchen Award. The classic black and white color scheme is elevated into a sophisticated and elegant space with a contemporary twist. With an intensely graphic focal point and eclectic mixture of textures and patterns, this striking kitchen design embodies drama without sacrificing improved function and flow.

Celebrating the best of the best in today’s bath design, the National Bath Award winner takes the spirit of a traditional blue and white themed bath to new heights.

Designed by Julia Kleyman, the combination of custom dark navy cabinetry and different shades and patterns of blue tile, coupled with polished fixtures, and etched glass create an eclectic yet elegant space. Clean lines and a symmetrical cabinetry arrangement ground the room, a refined blend of geometric patterns, mixed textures and a playful range of blue tones creates interest and visual connectivity within the space.

From in-home bars to media rooms, great cabinetry and interior design extends far beyond the kitchen and bathroom. The National Other Spaces Award honors unique spaces that embody design excellence.

Susan Easterly-Coleman designed this classic English-style gentleman's library to include rich mahogany tones, a sweeping staircase and coffered ceiling to create a warm and inviting two-story study. Exquisite woodworking and fine attention to detail combine to create a masterful example of Old-World Grandeur. A chevron patterned floor lightens the space and adds a modern touch.

With the National Small Kitchen Award, Wood-Mode celebrates design excellence found in kitchens under 350 square feet.

The dilemma: within this beautiful, in-town pied-a-terre’s 1,100 square footprint, designer Susan Fredman had only 140 square feet of it to spare for the kitchen, bar and dining area. So, she took a sculptural approach to the space and cabinet configuration. Using a high gloss bright white opaque finish on the cabinetry to add reflective surfaces and a contrasting Matte black color, she was able to unify the kitchen and adjacent living space in this open floor plan.

Blending sleek and modern design elements with transitional style, Wood-Mode recognizes contemporary spaces that exude confidence and creativity with the National Contemporary award.

When the homeowner tasked designer Kris Atwood with creating a stand out contemporary kitchen to match her furnishings, he immediately looked to integrate basic geometric forms including a high gloss wall cabinet, highlighted by integral lighting, to create a graphic contrast of materials and finishes.

Clean and subtle color palettes blend with relaxing and uncomplicated design to create inviting spaces around the home. The project took home top honors with the National Transitional Award.

Designer Gail Bolling’s client, an avid cook, wanted a clean, sleek, contemporary style kitchen with lots of open counter space for preparing meals. The result: a traditional door style and trim details combined with rustic contemporary cabinetry in a range of gray finishes and textures, crisp white Quartz counters and finished off with gold metallic elements to create a refined mix of subtle sophistication.
