HIGH POINT, N.C. – The board of directors of the American Home Furnishings Alliance Solution Partners division has voted to cancel its 30th annual Education Golf Tournament.
The decision comes amid concerns related to Covid-19 combined with current North Carolina restrictions. The event was scheduled for September 30, 2020, at Lake Hickory Country Club in Hickory, North Carolina.
The Solution Partners Education Golf Tournament was first held in 1990. After 10 annual tournaments, the first four scholarships were awarded in 2000. It is the only scholarship program that helps fund a college or vocational school education for the children of industry workers. Since 2000, 115 students from 43 different companies across the United States have received financial assistance to further their education.
