More than 7,000 were in attendance at last year's MEM Industrial, Mexico's largest woodworking fair.

The MEM Industrial-Tecno Mueble Internacional 2021 trade exhibition for the woodworking and furniture industry in Mexico and Latin America will be held at Expo Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico, August 18-21, 2021.

Due to the global pandemic, the fair will comply with a comprehensive security and hygiene concept that meets the requirements in force during the summer. Companies wishing to exhibit at the fair can now register online.

"Merging MEM Industrial and Tecno Mueble Internacional creates the leading event for the wood and furniture industry in Mexico and Latin America from 2021 on,” said Christian Pfeiffer, global director Ligna & Woodworking Shows at Deutsche Messe, Hanover. “The show will bring together suppliers to the furniture and woodworking industries and set the stage for new business deals,"

In even years, MEM Industrial-Tecno Mueble Internacional normally runs in Mexico City, and in odd years, such as 2021, at Expo Guadalajara. All exhibitors and visitors at MEM Industrial-Tecno Mueble Internacional 2021 will also have access to Expo Mueble Internacional, a furniture fair held on the same date at Expo Guadalajara.

In 2021, there will be a Makeathon aimed at designers, engineers and creative talents from different disciplines. The Makeathon-at-MEM Industrial-Tecno Mueble Internacional 2021 challenges participants to use 3D modelling and digital manufacturing techniques to develop furniture solutions in the categories of living, working and urban.

MEM Industrial-Tecno Mueble Internacional 2021 will also feature a conference program that focuses on sustainability throughout the value chain, the role of design and the importance of digitalization in industry.

More than 5,000 trade buyers are expected at Expo Guadalajara. More than 200 leading brands will present their products on 11,000 square meters of exhibition space. Online registration for the fair is now open at www.memindustrial.mx
