NILES, Illinois – BA Technologies will debut a new wireless device charging technology for countertops, DekTek, at the 2017 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS), to be held January 10-12 in Orlando, Florida.

According to the company, DekTek offers wireless charging solutions in the following areas: direct placement between device and transmitter, installation problems with surface materials, 1:1 ratio, slower charging, and small charging zone areas. Features include automatic multi-device charging, 40mm vertical range, and easy installation beneath nearly any non-metal surface.

With a 10W or 16W transmitter, DekTek can charge up to three devices at a time even if they have different power requirements. Soon to be released is a 33W transmitter that will be able to charge a laptop, the company says.  The DropZone (charging area) for the 10W version is ≈ 6”x3.5” and the 16W version is ≈ 8.5”x5.7”, giving the user a wide space to place their device without the hassle of direct placement.  With over an inch and a half of vertical range, devices can even be set on top of other non-metal items (i.e.: newspapers or other items commonly found on countertops).

BA Technologies, founded in January 2016,  has a central hub located just outside of the metropolitan Chicago in Niles, Illinois.
