ARCHDALE, N.C. —  Häfele America Co. recently celebrated 50 years of serving as a leading supplier of furniture fittings and architectural hardware by hosting a series of exciting customer and employee events. This anniversary coincides with Häfele’s 100-year celebration in Germany.

“The history of Häfele America and the impact this company has made on the industry over the course of 50 years – as well as with vendor partners and our employees – is something we’re especially proud of,” said president & CEO Paul Smith. “This event allowed us the chance to revisit much of our past and I can promise you that our next 50 years will be even more even more exciting.”

Häfele America Co. President & CEO Paul Smith speaks to the assembled crowd of customers, Häfele sales team members and vendor partners. The event featured facility tours, galas and a charity golf tournament.

On Thursday, September 28, customers were hosted at a vendor trade show, with Loox LED lighting presentations, kitchen design seminars, and a broad range of activities, all followed by a celebratory gala.
The next day at Häfele’s Archdale, North Carolina, headquarters the company hosted customers, vendors, and sales team members for lunch and campus tours.

Speeches were made by Smith, chairperson of the Häfele Worldwide board of directors and company shareholder Sibylle Thierer and company shareholder Ellen Wolf. Later that day, an inaugural charity golf tournament benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of America was held where the company matched all donations, raising a significant sum for the charitable organization.

Additionally, events for Häfele employees were held at the company’s distribution centers in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; Fort Worth, Texas, and Torrance, California, on Friday, September 29 featuring catered luncheons and prizes. A family day event was held on Saturday, September 30, complete with campus tours, performers – a magician, balloon artist, and caricature artist – as well as many prizes and giveaways for the company’s Archdale employees and their families.
