WCMA hosts two state-of-the-art plant tours in June

CANFIELD, Ohio - Registration is now open for the Wood Component Manufacturers Association’s (WCMA) 2018 One-Day Regional Event. WCMA will partner with Eagle Machinery & Supply and OSI Machinerie to host two plant tours June 21 and 22. Attendees will get an opportunity to see advanced machinery in action and network with other professionals.
 
Plant Tours:
 
Sheoga Flooring - Established in 1982, Sheoga Hardwood Flooring and Paneling manufactures solid and engineered hardwood flooring and paneling. Attendees will be able to see the following equipment in action: Eagle rip saw feeder (Ripmaster); Eagle rip saw; Eagle trim saw; WoodEye 5 crosscut scanner; Eagle material handling; 2 – Eagle Talon 3000 cross cut saws; Eagle sorting system.
 
Baird Brothers Hardwood - Baird Brothers manufactures and retails hardwood products including mouldings, handrails, stair parts, T & G flooring and paneling, S4S lumber and more. Attendees will be able to see the following equipment in action: Eagle Talon 3000 crosscut saw; Eagle material handling; WoodEye 4 cross cut scanner; OSI SCP 24U Self-centering planer; Eagle sorting system.
 
The speaker of the event is Brad Perkins, executive director of the Ohio Forestry Association. He will present to the group Thursday, June 21. Perkins will discuss who the Ohio Forestry association is, what they do, and the impact of the forest products industry in Ohio.
