Vortex to put its longest life tooling on display at Wood Pro Expo Illinois
Vortex Series 3100 XP Extreme Performance Tooling
The Vortex Series 3100 XP'x solid carbide construction coupled with the tool’s geometry creates a tool that delivers precise cutting performance and runs longer, saving users’ time and money throughout the life of the tool.

SCHAUMBURG, Illinois – Vortex Tool will present a variety of tooling with a special focus on its Series 3100XP “Xtreme Performance” tooling at Wood Pro Expo Illinois, co-located with the Closets Expo, April 18-19 at the Schaumburg Convention Center.

The compression spiral router bits are manufactured of solid carbide without any additive coatings that are removed when sharpened. The solid carbide construction coupled with the tool’s geometry creates a tool that delivers precise cutting performance and runs longer, saving users’ time and money throughout the life of the tool. According to Vortex, Series 3100XP tooling delivers three to five times more tool life than standard compression and coated compression geometry, especially with high pressure laminate (HPL) and thermally fused laminated (TFL) materials.

Vortex Tool designs and manufactures a wide variety of standard and custom high-performance router and insert cutting tools for the woodworking and plastics industries. The company also provides re-tipping and sharpening services.
