Wood Pro Expo Lancaster preview videos: Felder machinery

MANHEIM, Pa. – Felder Group USA will demonstrate a range of production woodworking machinery at Wood Pro Expo Lancaster (WPEL), Oct. 12-13 at Spooky Nook Sports.

Felder will bolster its presence at WPEL by participating in the Running Machinery Program (RMP) on each day of the show. The company’s RMP demos are scheduled for 11:15 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 12, and 10:45 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 13.   

Here’s a quick rundown on the four machines Felder will display.

Felder says the Format 4 kappa 450 sliding table saw features 3-axis control and simplified operation. The kappa 450’s circular saw unit enables blade diameters up to 450mm and a cutting height of up to 6" (150 mm). 

The x-motion features of the Format 4 kappa 450 has an automatic rip fence, unlimited tool storage, and programmable cutting sequences in the in-house software. All axes of the machine can be controlled ergonomically and intuitively by the central operating unit with 10" touch screen. The kappa 450 is available with Felder’s PCS safety device. Felder G 360 edgebander

The Felder G 300 edgebander is equipped with a new changeable gluepot. Felder says the edgebander facilitates quick and easy change to other adhesive colours while the use of PUR glue ensures productive procedures and excellent edges for all areas of application. At 2 meters long, the G 330 is Felder’s smallest edgebander with chain conveyor. (Watch video below.)
 

Felder Classic 850 widebelt sander

The Felder Classic 850 widebelt sander has a 37” (850mm) working width, various sanding modules, combination modules and more. The widebelt sander pre and fine sands in one working process. It features a fine sanding unit with segmented, electro-pneumatic sanding pad, digital grain compensation, sand brushing equipment. Watch video.

Felder AD 941 jointer-planer

The AD 941 jointer-planer with 410mm planing width has spring-loaded, synchronized opening of the dual planer/thicknesser. Other features include small footprint, easy to read scale, and Silent-Power spiral cutter-block to dramatically reduce noise emissions.  The “Power-Drive” thicknesser control, with an accuracy to a .01mm at the touch of a button, is available by request.
