Portable drying rack system is versatile
Paint Line hanging rack

The PaintLine PSDR portable drying rack holds both short standard hangers and long Wave hangers.

Not every shop has room or the need for a full-time spray booth and dedicated finishing area. PaintLine introduced its PSDR system to create a professional-grade drying rack system wherever you need it.

When I do major finishing work, I turn my garage into a temporary spray booth using the PaintLine job site spray booth system, so I was excited to see the new PSDR system that makes part handling and drying more efficient, no matter where you have to work.

PaintLine drying rack system
The system includes a spraying station with a rotating hanging wheel and a spray gun hanger.

Everything you need
The PSDR system includes steel posts and stands that can be freestanding or linked together. There are long and short hangers, and there are some fiendishly clever hanging hooks.

The system is billed as a drying rack system, but it also includes a spraying fixture with two steel stands, a crossbar, and a rotating center hanging wheel that is really handy for spraying vertically in one place. I use a turbine-powered HVLP gun with an awkward heavy hose, so being able to stand in one place and rotate the part easily is a big plus. There’s even a hanger on the post for your spray gun.

PaintLine portable drying rack system bags
Form-fitting nylon canvas carrying bags hold all the stands, posts, crossbars, and hangers, making for quick assembly and takedown wherever you need them.

Packable and portable
One of the best features of all of the PaintLine products we’ve used is the thoughtful way they are designed for easy assembly and transport. Everything packs into form-fitting heavy nylon canvas bags. Assembling for use is just as easy, with only a few thumb screws and no connections that require any tools. Everything snaps together in seconds and takes down just as fast.

PaintLine drying rack hangers
PaintLine's drying rack hinge hole hangers are scary sharp and super strong spring steel.

Sharp solution
I have to specifically mention the special hinge hole hangers that work with the system. They are high-carbon spring steel with very sharp, thin points designed to go into the holes cut for cup hinges on most cabinet doors. The hooks are so thin they create almost no finishing shadow, and I even used them on some drawer fronts, hooking them into the stiles and rails where they meet the floating panel on the back. Two warnings: These things are wicked sharp; think fishing hooks. They also tangle in the box; think Christmas ornament hangers.

All in all, another great package of solutions for the job site or small shop from PaintLine. Learn more at thepaintline.com.
