HANOVER, Ontario – The Wood Manufacturing Cluster of Ontario (WMCO) will hold a Plant Tour Focus Group event Feb. 22 at Toyota’s automotive facility in Cambridge, Ontario.

The Cambridge plant opened in 1988 and has built more than 8 million vehicles.

WMCO members will have the opportunity to see the Toyota Production System, commonly associated with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement, in action. That includes seeing the collaboration among humans and robots to build vehicles. The plant tour will be followed by an educational debrief with Lean experts providing their insights on what attendees have seen and experienced.

While the event is only open to WMCO members, eligible companies can join to attend.
