WMCO’s online Lean Advisors Program Series kicks off Jan. 25

HANOVER, Ontario – The Wood Manufacturing Cluster of Ontario, in collaboration with Lean Advisors, will present “Bringing Lean Culture into Your Organization,” a series of bi-weekly online workshops running from Jan 25 to April 18, 2024.

The interactive sessions, comprised of seven two-hour modules, will be facilitated by Paul Youldon, senior lean coach and executive coach of Lean Advisors. Each session runs on a Thursday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. ET.

Here’s a quick look at the schedule. 

Module 1 1st Day of Training: Introduction to Lean Manufacturing - Planning Tool Training – Jan. 25

Module 2 -- 5S for Lean Manufacturing – Feb 8

Module 3 -- Kaizen for Lean Manufacturing -- Successful Leaders are Made Not Born – Feb. 22

Module 4 -- Mistake Proofing for Lean Manufacturing -- Improving Results Through Better Time Management -- March 7

Module 5 -- Value Stream Mapping for Lean Manufacturing -- Exercising Authority Effectively – March 21

Module 6 -- Flow/Pull (Kanban) for Lean Manufacturing – The Art of Delegation – April 4

Module 7 – Charters -- April 18

Canada-Ontario Job Grant funding is available for this program. The WMCO will hold an information session about COJG funding from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. ET Tuesday, Jan. 9. The session will answer questions about COJG program, including how to submit the required paperwork to qualify for funding.
