KINGSPORT, TENN. — Accsys, a company that makes sustainable building materials, announced it signed Sergio Munhoz as North American sales director.

With a background in the wood coatings industry, Munhoz joins from AkzoNobel, where he led commercial teams across North and South America. He brings a strong track record in building high-performance teams and driving double-digit sales growth. Prior to AkzoNobel, he worked for Sherwin Williams, where he led divisional sales teams. Munhoz holds a degree in international business and a master’s in strategic sales.

In preparation for the expected start-up of Accoya production in mid-2024, Accsys has expanded its commercial team and established an operational sales team at the Accoya USA factory office in Kingsport, which will handle customer service for North America.
