BlueLinx announces executive leadership promotions

ATLANTA -- BlueLinx Holdings, a U.S. wholesale distributor of building products, announced senior leadership changes aimed at strengthening commercial alignment throughout the organization to advance the company’s sales growth strategy.

Mike Wilson has been appointed chief commercial officer, reporting directly to Shyam Reddy, president and CEO. In this new role, Wilson will oversee the commercial leadership team comprised of BlueLinx’s five regional vice presidents and the vice president of national accounts, all reporting directly to him. Wilson brings more than 30 years of building products experience to the role. 

Leo Oei has been named vice president, product management, succeeding Mike Wilson in his former role. Oei, who previously served as the general manager of BlueLinx’s Denville, N.J., and Long Island, N.Y., branches has more than 20 years of procurement and supply chain experience. He will report directly to Reddy.

In addition to those executive leadership appointments, David Sherwood, general manager of BlueLinx’s Erwin, Tenn., branch, has been promoted to the position of regional vice president - North Region, reporting directly to Wilson. Sherwood's extensive background and more than 30 years of building products experience includes time as the general manager – Minneapolis branch, regional director of operations – North Region, and integration leader for the Vandermeer acquisition.

BlueLinx is a U.S. wholesale distributor of residential and commercial building products with both branded and private-label SKUs across product categories such as lumber, panels, engineered wood, siding, millwork, and industrial products. The company services customers in all 50 states including national home centers, pro dealers, cooperatives, specialty distributors, regional and local dealers, and industrial manufacturers.
