Fire rips through restaurant furniture maker's facility

CHICAGO — A fire tore through a Chicago-based restaurant furniture manufacturing company on Thursday, March 21. No injuries were reported, according to the Chicago Fire Department's X  news feed.

The company, called CAC Seating, makes furniture for restaurants, including booths, tables and chairs. The furniture company is located at 1435 W Exchange Ave, in Chicago's Back of the Yards neighborhood. 

The Chicago Fire Department reported on its X page that pallets were burning on the loading dock area.

The Chicago Fire Department said there was a large volume of pallets burning on the loading dock area.

According to WLS-TV in Chicago, more than 150 Chicago firefighters battled the three-alarm fire that broke out at about 10:43 p.m. on Wednesday night, March 20.
