Florida lumber and millwork company acquired

Banning Lumber & Millwork is the most recent acquisition by Gulfeagle Supply, which in 1973 opened its first location in Tampa, Florida. Today, Gulfeagle has grown to 118 branches across the United States.

Tri-Excellence, Inc., which is the corporate name for the three-decade old Banning Lumber & Millwork, Largo, Florida, a fully stocked lumberyard offering building products including millwork, doors, windows, moldings, stair parts and exterior siding, has been acquired. Details of the transaction were not released.

According to a statement from Washington Partners, LLC, the advisory firm that advised on the transaction, said that Guflside Supply,  dba Gulfeagle Supply, Tampa, Florida, acquired the company from owners Terry and Marc Banning.

Marc Banning said that after nearly 35-years in busijness they were ready to "take advantage of what we had built and move on to the next phase of our lives." The couple hired mergers and acquisitions experts George Chaconas and Steve Hyden of Washington Partners to help us navigate this life-changing decision and they wanted to maker sure their staff was "in the right hands after our exit."

Gulfeagle Supply, a roofing and building products distributor, specializes in servicing the professional roofing contractor and provides a variety of products and services to the homeowner, building owner, architect and general contractor. In addition to roofing products, Gulfeagle's offerings include lumber, drywall, windows and myriad of other building products. Founded in 1973, Gulfeagle Supply opened its first location in Tampa, Florida. Today, Gulfeagle has grown to 118 branches across the United States, with Banning Lumber & Millwork being the most recent acquisition.

The release did not discuss what will happen to Banning Lumber or its employees.
