NEW DELHI, INDIA – Reportedly, Greenply Industries Ltd., a manufacturer of plywood, announced it will set up Asia’s largest laminate plant in Himachal Pradesh with an installed capacity of 3,300,000 sheets at an investment of $27.7 million, according to Business Standard. The project is scheduled to be commissioned by October 2009.

The company also plans to set up a greenfield MDF plant in Uttaranchal, an investment of $57.7 million. The plant will have a capacity of 1,800,000 cubic board meters and is likely to start commercial production by March 2010.
