Haworth Group says it reached a 4-year milestone

The Haworth Group reported 2023 sales of $2.57 billion, an approximate 3% increase compared to 2022. The company has grown 16% since 2019.

“Our optimism for 2023 proved mostly true and we saw continued improvement across all business segments,” said Franco Bianchi, Haworth President and CEO. “Our strategy is creating and expanding our customer base for wherever people work and live.”

Haworth, which is an FDMC 300 listed company, ranking #11 on the list, shared many successful moments in 2023, including celebrations for its 75th anniversary highlighting a continued commitment to innovation and design. “Honoring our 75th year has been an exciting time and there is considerable energy in 2024 for continued optimism,” continued Bianchi. “As we look ahead, we pause to acknowledge that the world is suffering through multiple conflicts and continued turbulent times.”

In 2023, Haworth joined Leesman’s definitive global study into the impact and future of hybrid working. The company also continued to invest in showrooms and its global headquarters, as well as supporting dealer partners, to highlight new products and demonstrate new work environments. Haworth’s innovation pipeline included the debut of Haworth DesignLab, a curated collection of product design concepts from emerging designers, and several new product introductions.

Haworth completed the acquisition of Zanotta, expanded in the Middle East and announced the license of Ralph Lauren home furniture collection. The company’s brand focus continues to lead in design with multiple award-winning product platforms.

Haworth also had near-term and net-zero emissions targets validated in 2023 by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). This milestone is the most ambitious designation available and establishes next steps for the company’s carbon accountability journey. Additional information on Haworth’s sustainability commitments and progress is available in the annual corporate social responsibility report.
