Herman Miller Announces 7% 4Q Sales Growth

ZEELAND, MI – Furniture manufacturer Herman Miller Inc. announced results for its fourth quarter and fiscal year ended May 31. The company reported sales for the fourth quarter of $591.1 million, a 7.0% increase versus the same period last year. Non-North American sales for the fourth quarter were up 22.8% year-over-year, while the North American market grew 6.3% compared to the prior year period.

The company experienced 4.9% sales growth for fiscal 2008, which brought revenues to more than $2 billion. The company expects first quarter fiscal 2009 sales to be in the range of $470 million to $495 million.
