Industry veteran joins BMK Americas board

LEXINGTON, N.C. — BMK Americas, an international supplier of surface-coated and impregnated films, announced that Mike Phillips has joined its board of directors and has been named managing director of the Lexington, North Carolina-based company.

Phillips has been involved in the North American Decorative Surfacing industry for more than 35 years. Prior to his January 2024 start at BMK Americas, he served at SURTECO North America from May of 1988 until leaving the company as company CEO and president in January 2024.

He has been active in many industry organizations and is a long-standing member and Board Member of the Composite Panel Association. Phillips has been instrumental in promoting the panel industry's growth in North America and has experience with all decorative surfaces used in the industry. According to the CPA, Christoph Menier, BMK Americas' CEO, said that as board member and managing director, Phillips will "provide leadership and guidance that will help us achieve our goals of quality and service for the markets served by BMK Americas."
