HIGH POINT, N.C. - The grand opening of The Generator at Congdon Yards, a facility that provides access to state-of-the-art technology to start-ups, small companies and other size woodworking manufacturers in North Carolina, will take place Oct. 18-19.
Developed in partnership with SCM North America, The Generator's 6,000-plus-square-foot facility features 11 production machines donated by SCM, including two 5-axis CNC routers, a flat bed router, panel saw, sliding table saw, edgebander, bore and dowel machine, case clamp, jointer, planer and widebelt sander.
Another feature of The Generator is the Material ConneXion library, a collection of more than 10,000 materials including textiles and coating, available in one location for designers, architects as well as woodworkers.

A key player in the development of The Generator has been Justin Stabb, owner of Stabb Designs, an architectural millwork and casework firm in North Carolina. In recognition of his achievements at his company, in his community and on behalf of the industry as a whole, Stabb was recognized as a 2021 Wood Industry 40 Under 40 honoree.
