BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MI - Homebuilder Pulte has begun offering premium garage interior storage system upgrades as part of a sales promotion for homes in its developments inllinois, Indianapolis, New Mexico, Seattle, Southern California, and St. Louis.

"The garage has traditionally been relegated to mismatched storage," said Janice Jones, VP merchandising for Pulte Homes. "Our customers have told us that they want better home storage solutions and expanded space in the garage."

The Pulte garage promotion  features dramatic examples of garages decked out with Gladiator GarageWorks cabinetry and industrial floor coverings. Gladiator GarageWorks, a unit of Whirlpool Corp., is sold as a premier pre-assembled line and ready-to-assemble line for do-it-yourselfers, as well as through local garage dealers, and retailers including Sears and Lowe's or via www.GladiatorGW.com. A slideshow presents some of the examples promoted by Pulte.

Pulte, based in Bloomfield Hills, MI, received 5,578 new home orders in its most recent quarter,  an increase of 32 percent over the prior year, the home builder said.
