Quality Certification Corp. Names Elias as Program Director

Elias

POTOMAC FALLS, VA – Quality Certification Corp. announced the appointment of Craig Elias as QCC director to oversee the operations and growth of the Quality Certification Program, founded in 1996 by the Architectural Woodwork Institute..

Elias said, “Our biggest initial challenge will be to assure that QCP participants weather the downturn in our economy without compromising the integrity of their work. I look forward to being more vocal and visible within QCP’s end user constituency, promoting the fact that quality is never compromised for budget. The QCP places AWI members in a stronger position for the future and we need to continue validating the benefits of the program for participants, the design/build community and end users.”

“I hope to build on past successes and look forward to new opportunities to grow QCP by working with other organizations on joint standards; supporting certification overseas; and exploring markets for QCP participants to compete in internationally,” Elias said.

Elias is a former member of the QCC Board of Directors and architectural woodworker who comes to QCC with 16 years of industry experience. Until recently, Elias was president of Elias Studios, a firm that specialized in estate-level custom architectural woodwork, manufacturing a broad range of products, including doors, cabinets, paneling and custom moulding. He joined AWI as a Manufacturing Member in 2004. Elias succeeds Randy Estabrook, who served as QCC program director since 2001.
