Uneeda Enterprises has completed a large expansion of its headquarters in Spring Valley, N.Y. The company increased its square footage from 58,000 to 100,000 sq. ft. to accommodate more machinery and warehousing space to streamline the manufacturing process and meet current demand.

Since 1967, Uneeda has supplied quality coated abrasive products to a wide range of industrial end users and distributors. Throughout its 55-year history, Uneeda has experienced significant growth while surmounting many economic difficulties along the way.

"A few years ago, we found ourselves running out of warehouse and manufacturing space to accommodate our continued growth," the company said in a statement. "We were at a crossroads to decide what the best option could be to expand and support the business. We decided to make an investment in our local community and remain in Spring Valley, New York where we had our roots, both as a business and a family."

The expansion project began almost four years ago when Uneeda approached the local planning board to obtain approval for the expansion. Three years later, the company finally received approval and broke ground in June of 2021.

Seventeen months after breaking ground, the company officially opened its expansion and began a new chapter in Uneeda’s history. The expansion includes over 18,000 square feet of additional manufacturing floor space and 25,000 square feet of high ceiling warehouse space. In addition, the company added a freight elevator and conveyor system to help with material handling; built additional production and warehouse offices; constructed two more loading docks and increased parking capacity by 32 additional spaces.

"We are excited about what the future may bring and look forward to many more years of sharing our success with our dedicated staff and loyal customers," the company said.
