Vermont Tubbs to Transition Production Facility to NH

WHITEFIELD, NH — Vermont Tubbs, a 169-year-old American furniture manufacturer, on July 11 announced that it would move its production facility from Brandon, VT, to Whitefield, NH. BSF Transition LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Brown Street Furniture, which is headquartered in Whitefield, acquired the company on June 3. Vermont Tubbs’ casegoods will now be manufactured at Brown Street Furniture's production plant, where both companies will operate in tandem.

“This move will ensure the longevity of the Vermont Tubbs brand and the future of its great American craft,” said Adam Tager, co-owner of Brown Street Furniture and Vermont Tubbs. “All of our employees have been offered a job at the Whitefield production facility and it is our goal to bring along as many employees as possible to the new facility.”

The transition of the Vermont Tubbs facility to Whitefield will take place over the course of the next eight weeks. To facilitate a smooth transition, the owners have prepared the Brown Street Furniture facility for the increased Vermont Tubbs production. Production lead times will be temporarily pushed-out to eight to 12 weeks. By early fall, production times will improve to six to eight weeks and by the end of the year resume to their current four to six week deliverable.
