The Urban Wood Network will present “How Anatomical Features of Urban Wood Create Unique Designs,” a webinar scheduled for 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8.

Featured presenters include Alex Wiedenhoeft, Phd., research botanist and team leader of the Forest Products Laboratory, Center for Wood Anatomy Research in Madison, Wis. He will be joined by John Mahoney, Street Tree Revival program manager, West Coast Arborists based in Anaheim, Calif. 

The presenters will discuss ways to incorporate wood anatomy in urban wood sales and marketing strategies, while elevating awareness of the value, significance, and opportunity for urban wood utilization.

This webinar is intended for arborists, urban foresters, and all individuals involved in the salvaging, milling, and processing of urban wood resources. It is additionally intended for those interested in how wood anatomy can enhance or affect end products.
