Woodcraft Industries becomes Quanex Custom Components

Face frame assemblies from Woodcraft Industries, now known as Quanex Custom Components.

Woodcraft Industries brand has been renamed Quanex Custom Components as of Aug. 1, 2022.

The move comes as a way to bring a united, joined focus to Woodcraft, its subsidiary companies, and the rest of the broader Quanex family of brands. Since Quanex acquired Woodcraft in 2015, the brand has broadened its scope into additional materials and service offerings. The company is ranked 41 in the 2022 FDMC 300 list of the largest North American wood products producers, based on sales.

The former Woodcraft Industries manufactures components for kitchen and bath cabinetry including mouldings, doors, and drawer fronts. Quanex is a global, publicly traded manufacturing company primarily serving OEMs in the fenestration, cabinetry, solar, refrigeration and outdoor products markets.

The company says it has strategic growth initiatives planned for the next few years that build on the name and strength of Quanex and its dedication to bringing more to the building industry. The name enables the brand to operate as a single entity that provides a broad range of solutions to customers in a variety of markets.

“This is a big step as we continue to unify and simplify our brands under the Quanex name,” said John Sleva, division president of Quanex Custom Components. “It’s more than just a name change. This move reflects our mindset to work together to make an even greater impact on our customers, the communities we operate in, and our employees.”

Customers can expect the same industry-leading product quality and service from Quanex Custom Components moving forward, backed by the comprehensive support of the Quanex organization. Day-to-day operations and service platforms will remain the same as customers have come to expect. This is not changing.

“Being A Part of Something Bigger extends to all of the Quanex family,” said George Wilson, CEO of Quanex. “With our experience, talent, teamwork, and commitment, the Custom Components team is in a perfect position to play their part in Quanex’s success.”
