Vac-U-Clamp introduces the FT-800 Thermo Foil Press, featuring a clam shell design. The FT-800 is specifically designed for smaller shops, says the company, or in applications where shop space is limited. It can also be used as a back-up press for a larger production shop for short-run requirements. It features a 52” by 100” working area, a see through window into an illuminated interior, 18,000 watts of heaving with quartz-type infrared heaters, and unobstructed left, right and front access. Other features include an oil-cooled, 16 CFM vacuum pump coupled to a 30-gallon evacuation tank, zinc plated steep platen and upfront controls. An upgraded version featuring PLC touch screen controls is also available. The entire press is constructed from aircraft grade tubular aluminum with powder coated steel covering  panels. Overall size of the FT-800 is 103” wide, 56” deep and 49” high with a platen height of 33” including caster, which adds 4” in height.
