Widebelt sander

Castaly says the infeed and outfeed hold-down rollers on the Lobo 37-in. x 75-in. widebelt sander are spring-loaded to ensure positive feeding without sanding marks. The machine features a combination platen and drum sanding head and computerized thickness adjustments control with accurate digital readout and automatic table movement for sanding thicknesses within 0.005-in. accuracy. The large size diameter contact drum is dynamically balanced rubber covered spiral grooves, designed to provide considerable advantages for the effective removal of material, the company says, and a special rubber feed belt provides safe, non-slip transporting of the workpieces. The abrasive belts are tracked by oscillating cylinders linked to the upper roller, and the edge of the belt is detected by electric eye sensor which in turn controls the air supply to the position via solenoid value. One limit switch is located on each end of top roller of the sand paper for quick stop in case of the event of belt breakage.
