Stolbek machines based in Canada has developed an automated edgesander that duplicates hand-sanding. Utilizing orbital sanding technology instead of belts and flap wheels, the Stolbek edgesander goes through a progression of three sanding grits and gives edges the same finish that all the surfaces get. The company claims, “You will never see an MDF edge like this.” With a footprint of only 3x8 feet, the machine can sand all four edges of a panel in about 30 seconds.

Stolbek Machines based in Canada introduces Cosmo, an affordable robotic sanding system for doors. The company asserts the unit is the "only robotic sander on the market that can sand edges, break corners and handle any type of cabinet door you throw at it." Designed to be a true single-piece flow lean machine, Cosmo doubles the speed of existing sanding operations, and transfers 80% of the sanding off people, according to the company. The machine is designed to require no special programming.

Dynabrade offers a new raised panel sanding pad for use with the Dynafine Detail Sander. This new sanding pad has a rectangular shape (4-in. x 3/4-in.) with angled edges and is ideal for sanding into tight corners and on raised edges of panels, as well as other woodworking applications. It features a premium urethane medium density hook face pad, 1/2-in. thick, which accepts both coated abrasive and non-woven nylon sheets.

Convert a single-stage dust collector into an efficient two-stage system and reduce the need for frequent bag emptying with a Wall-Mount Cyclone Dust Separator available from Rockler. PaintLine has introduced a new hinge hook for hanging cabinet doors when painting or finishing. Utilizing a proprietary single wire design, PaintLine's Hinge Hooks have a sharp, “fish hook” style point, which securely holds cabinet doors by their hinge cup holes. Each hook has a weight capacity of 25 lbs and when two are used, the weight capacity is 50 lbs.

The SuperMax 25-50 Drum Sander from Laguna Tools is the largest open-ended drum sander on the market, the company says. The user can sand 25″ in a single pass, and up to 50″ in a double pass.  The 25-50 Drum Sander comes standard on a Closed Mobile Base Stand. The drum is pre-wrapped with 80 grit sandpaper. 3M says its Xtract sanding disc product can extract up to 99% of dust generated. As the operator sands, any dust produced is pulled through the net backing, continuously extracting and collecting into the vacuum system. The company's line of Cubitron II Premium Series abrasives is designed with the exclusive 3M Precision-Shaped Grain (PSG) technology, which means up to two times the dust created in the same amount of time.

PaintLine has launched new accessories to pair with its drying racks. The accessories include new hinge hooks that feature a proprietary design that uses a single, high-carbon steel wire to reduce shadowing from the spray pattern on the cabinet door. Also available are PSDR Cup Hooks that are made from Zinc-plated steel for hanging cabinet doors on either the company's standard or Wave Hangers.

The dual-action electric polisher from Dynabrade Inc. features a lightweight, low-profile design that the company says is precision-balanced to deliver superior power. The geared tool can be used with both 5” and 6” diameter pads. The electric motor features a 20’ swivel cord for extended reach during operation. The polisher is 1000 watts and operates at a variable speed of 150–350 orbits per minute with a 6.8mm orbit.
